Iran, January 31, 2020—On January 30, the U.S. Treasury expanded its sanctions on the Iranian regime’s Atomic Energy Organization (AEOI) and its chief Ali Akbar Salehi. The new sanctions will freeze any assets that Salehi has within U.S. jurisdiction.
“The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran has played a big role in Iran breaching its key nuclear commitments. It has exceeded the limits on its uranium stockpile and enrichment levels," said Brian Hook, the U.S. envoy to Iran. Hook added that Salehi personally inaugurated the installation of new advanced centrifuges to expand Iran's uranium enrichment capacity.
The newest round of sanctions is part of the U.S. administration’s maximum pressure campaign aimed at reining in the multitude of hostile activities Iran’s regime carries out in the Middle East and across the globe.
This is another devastating blow to one of the strategic goals of the Iranian regime, which is to obtain nuclear weapons for its survival. According to some estimates, until now, the Iranian regime has spent well over $100 billion of the Iranian people’s wealth on nuclear weapons research and development.

"The regime’s revolutionary goals and willingness to commit violent acts haven’t produced anyone to lead Iran that can be remotely called a moderate, or a statesman," said US Sec of State Mike Pompeo.
Some believe the |ian regime's Rouhani & FM Zarif are moderates.
"The truth is, they are merely polished front men for the Ayatollah’s international con-artistry. Their nuclear deal didn’t make them moderates, it made them wolves in sheep’s clothing," said Sec Pompeo.

How the MEK dealt a decisive blow to the Iranian regime’s nuclear ambitions

The ultimate goal of the religious fascism ruling Iran is to establish a brutal and fundamentalist caliphate across the Middle East. Tehran’s mullahs saw nuclear weapons as a key step toward achieving this goal and pursued it since the early years of founding their regime.
But the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) revealed the regime’s efforts to buy and produce nuclear weapons in 1991. In 2002, the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) revealed top-secret information about two previously unknown nuclear sites in Iran, the Natanz uranium enrichment facility and the Arak heavy water reactor.
After the disclosure of Natanz and Arak, the international community woke up to the imminent threat of a dangerous regime obtaining the most dangerous weapon in the world. Senior U.S. officials later acknowledged that the world did not know about the regime’s nuclear program until Iranian dissidents revealed it.
In its 2004 yearly statement, the NCRI stipulated that it had disclosed the information about the Iranian regime’s nuclear facilities based on its humanitarian and national responsibilities and toward promoting peace in the region.
Unfortunately, at the time, the dominant global policy toward Iran was appeasing the mullahs. Instead of standing with the people of Iran and their resistance movement, the international community tried to curb the regime’s nuclear ambitions by giving it concessions, hoping that the mullahs would abandon their dreams of obtaining nuclear weapons. But while the mullahs were negotiating with the West over their nuclear program, they continued to build secret pathways toward the atomic bomb.
Meanwhile, the Iranian resistance continued, against all odds, to expose the Iranian regime’s illicit activities.
The Iranian regime’s officials constantly expressed their angst at the continued stream of disclosures that the Iranian resistance made.

The unending deceit

Even after signing the 2015 nuclear agreement, the Iranian regime did not stop its deceitful activities. In February 2018, Salehi explicitly admitted that the AEOI deceived the inspectors of the International Atomic Energy Agency with the consent and blessings of Ali Khamenei, the regime’s supreme leader.
Presently, the new sanctions are closing the final loopholes for the Iranian regime and its atomic energy organization to revive and continue its dream of obtaining nuclear weapons.

The demonstrators in Baghdad’s iconic Tahrir Square were chanting against the mullahs’ regime and their affiliates following their failed Friday rally.

Iran: Khamenei delivered remarks to boost perilously low morale among regime forces

Iran: Khamenei delivered remarks to boost perilously low morale among regime forces

Iranian regime supreme leader Ali Khamenei
Reporting by PMOI/MEK
Iran, January 17, 2020—Iranian regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei led Tehran’s Friday prayer sermon for the first time in eight years on Friday, January 17, indicating the importance of recent developments for the mullahs’ regime.
Citing lies about “millions” of people taking part in state ceremonies held for the now-dead Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) Quds Force chief Qassem Soleimani, Khamenei was desperate to decrease concerns among the regime’s forces and prevent further defections that are already on the rise. Khamenei also resorted to saber-rattling in regard to the January 8 missile attacks launched from western Iran into Iraq targeting military bases where U.S. troops are stationed.
“… those few hundred people who insulted the image of Qassem Soleimani,” Khamenei said in a show of his deep anger over the Iranian people and brave youth showing their hatred regarding the Soleimani, the murderer of thousands upon thousands of innocent people both inside Iran and abroad.

As always, members of the IRGC and paramilitary Basij bused to the site of Khamenei’s remarks, were present to begin chanting their usual choir against the U.S., United Kingdom and the Iranian opposition People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK).
Despite remaining silent on the subject of the Ukraine airliner downing by the IRGC that left 176 innocent people killed, Khamenei resorted to despicable remarks to somehow downgrade the issue’s importance. “They attempted to portray this in a manner” to cloak the state ceremonies for Soleimani and the regime’s missile attack targeting military bases housing U.S. soldiers in Iraq.
Khamenei characterized the IRGC Qods Force as "combatants without borders" in a clear indication that he remains all the more committed to the mullahs’ regional meddling and terrorism and praised Soleimani for organizing and strengthening the regime’s extraterritorial attacks.
The very fact that Khamenei saw it necessary to preside over the Friday prayers for the first time after eight years is a sign of extreme crises engulfing his regime. This comes especially after the November 2019 uprising that has continued with ongoing protests in the past two weeks.

In highlighting further concerns for the mullahs’ regime, Khamenei lashed out at France, Germany and the United Kingdom for triggering a dispute mechanism over the Iranian regime’s violations of the 2015 nuclear deal. Despite his harsh tone, Khamenei was careful not to cancel his option of negotiations, saying his regime has no problem with negotiations, just not with the U.S.
